F-22s, E-3s, HC-130Js, C-17s, and C-12s execute massive “Moose Walk” at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson

These aircraft makeup the backbone of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) air defense in Alaska.

Taken on May 5, 2020 the impressive photos in this post feature 3rd Wing and 176th Wing, Alaska Air National Guard executing an Elephant Walk at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER).

Affectionately termed a “Moose Walk,” to reflect Alaska’s unique relationship with the surrounding environment.

The airpower display included F-22s, E-3s, HC-130J, HH-60, C-17, and C-12 aircraft. These aircraft makeup the backbone of North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) air defense in Alaska.

NORAD’s priority is the continued and steadfast defense of North America and maintains its missions of aerospace warning and aerospace control, while safeguarding the force from the coronavirus.
